1.5.06 *** FORUM MAINTENANCE NEWS***
Guys the main forum is currently out of action while the uk2.net server (where the site is hosted) tech support team are working on it. We are still having problems with the board sticking which guttedly the update below didn't fix.... However, they believe now that it's a server problem at their end and are working on sorting it out..... so keep your bits crossed!
So while that's happening..... please click on this link which will take you over to the temp forum and straight to the thread that has all the information that you need to know about the temporary board.... how it works and stuff like that ... it's all very simple so nothing to worry about 
You don't need to register over there but it would be cool if you could post under the name you that you use on the main board just to lessen confusion... hee!
I'll keep you posted on fixage progress right here.... so stay tooned to this page for news!!!

Two bits of sad news for you today...  .....& sadly this tis no fool of April...honest guv...hee! *removes Purplemoon and Gingerpig's name labels from above their coathooks in the Fellowhip changing room* Purplemoon has been modding with us now for a good few months but as her offline life is starting to take her down some new and very exciting paths she is having to hang up her mod hat and crack on with her new 'stuff' .... so lets hear it for Purplemoon who has been sooooooo very lovely to have around in the Fellowship changin' room..... and I'm sure you'll be with me in wishing her nothing byt the v.v.v.v. best and most schmooove of luck in all she does..... It's always so sad to see someone so lovely hang up their hat but at the same time such a wondeful thing to see 'cos it means such wonderful things for them.... which totally rocks mine and I'm sure your socks toooo!!

Gingerpig, as many of you will know, has been part of the Fellowship for a good few years now under different guises... chat host... chat admin... forum admin... and most recently... as forum mod.... and it's this role that I'm now collecting "3 cheers for"... as she's hangin' up her mod hat in order to put her full attention on her studies and some other very cool stuff that she's got a goin' on right now! She's given sooooooooooooo much energy and time to Brainfog throughout all of her time on the Fellowship and you can be sure there is now a rather oddly guineapig shaped hole in the Brainfog stratosphere that no earthly polyfiller that I know of will be able to......... fill!

I’ve decided to banish the title back to where it came from … for a few reasons but mostly because it didn’t really work and just ended up causing more confusion than any of us need in our already confuddled worlds hee …  I wanna say a BIG fankinoooo to Winnie as she was in the role while the F/C malarkey was given a whirl … It’s always a bit of trial and error when trying out something new so *snaps* to her for being bear (see wot I did there ) enough to hack it!

New book club round about to kick off over here 
This time the book is 'Birdsong' by Sebastian Faulks .... and the deadline to have it done and dusted (or as near as possible) by is 25th January 2006. At which point we'll have ourselves a lil' get together in the chatroom to pick it apart and piece it back together again ..... with a few Pringles thrown in for good measure! Hee ... three months on from last update (which would totally be my fault as been Brainfoggin' about on the road a lot lately ... new stuff though as always to be found over on the Forum when I'm not able to keep this bit updated) ... there is some news on the Forum Co-ordinator front ....
..... and that is that our Gingerpig is embarking on a brand spankin' new college course ... *does the going back to skool boooogieee* .... Going back to school obviously needs a loooot of energy even for the non M.E. peeps out there ... so in order to save up as much energy as poss ... Gingerpig is hanging up her Forum Co-ordinator hat and putting on her 'learning cool new stuff' hat ... woot!  She's still gonna be Modding on the Forum and helping out behind the scenes with bits and pieces ... so horah that she'll still be about causing mischief and mayhem and generally going "wheeeek" .....So I just wanna say a BIIIG thank you to Gingerpig for all the hard work that she has put in and commitment she's given over the last few months to help keep the Forum running as smooth as a smooth thing that's very very smooooth! She has been a fantastic Forum Co-ordinator and a giggle to work with ... and that my friends, is a combination that truly ROCKS! I'm sure you'll all be with me in wishing her sharp pencils and oooodles of brain power to help her swiiiizzz through all the fabulous 'stuff' that is to come ....Go Ginger!!  3.7.05
As
you know, the wonderful Wibble recently hung up her Admin
hat so that she could concentrate on some new and fabulouso
projects going on in her offline world … (although
she still Modding and generally causing chaos everywhere … hee) …
So
we now be moving in to the next era of the Admin world …
and stepping up to the plate be Gingerpig … woot! …As
you know, Gingerpig has been Chat Co-ordinating for over
a year now … but, effective immediately … will
be hopping on over to the Forum side of Brainfog … to work alongside Winnie and myself in all things Forumy …So
*BIG UPS* for the Gingerpig … I’m sure you’ll
all be with me in welcoming her and helping her settle in
by lobbing handfuls of Pringles at her and the likey 
One slight change though
is that these two will now be known as The Forum Co-ordinator
dudes!! Basically
their role as such won’t be changing … just
the name … .......and
here be a brief run down of what they doooo:
- help
the Moderators out wherever needed, with modding problems/decisions/advice
and the likey....
ensure
that all the sections of the Forum are covered when Mods
are away due to illness etc.
enlisting
new Moderators and settling them in to their new role
as part of The
Fellowship of the Fog
deal
with any general Forum problems that arise (with my help
where needed).
- deal
with account activations and any new membership technical
problems.
Contacting
the Forum Co-ordinators
Winnie and Gingerpig will be working in rotation ... i.e.
Winnie working one month ... Gingerpig the next .......etc
etc .....
so .... when you need to communicate with them ... click

it’s something that’s a weee problem so easily
sorted but as it’s not affected everyone’s accounts
I can’t fix it until you shout and tell me that ya
got it going on …The
error that you will be getting when you try to log on to
the Forum is: phpBB
: Critical Error
Could
not get theme data for themes_id [9]so just
e-mail and it will be sorted in a heartbeat 
Also ... if you should know of other Foggers experiencing
these difficulties ... please point them in this direction
or get them to e-mail me straight away.

Afternoon all ... 
As you may have noticed ... I'm doing a lil' diddlin' on
the board in terms of the look/style ... I just wanted to
reassure those of you who liked the old version of the board
that it will still be available ... but while I'm
sorting out some new styles for those who can't cope with
the whiteness of the old style ... it will disappear now
and then ....
I
should have this all sorted over the next 24 hours so in
the meantime just post on dear Foggers ... post on ... ...
normal service will be resumed ... the old style will be
available ... and you guys will be the first to know  oooo
and there's lots of new smilieeees to play with tooo ...

that I can't give more of a heeeds up as to when I'm gonna

about it as soon as I can ... but due to my own MEness it
has to be a case of grabbin' the energy opportunity as and

This is basically maintenance that will result in the board
being more secure for all of us to play on ... *bops* which
is alll good wot wot!

Some sad but also extreeeemely happy news people
... our fabulouso Juliet (aka Wibble Puppy) has recently
made the choice (and I know it wasn't an easy choice for
her to make) to hang up her Forum Admin hat to make some
much needed room in her life so that she can move forward
on the ol' healing front and concentrate more of her energy
on some happy happy personal projects that she has set for
herself
This be one of them there times when it's hard to put into
words how much someone means ... and how much that all that
they have done means to Brainfog ... I could babble on all
day about the many many many wonders of the Wibble Puppy
.... 
She stepped up to the Admin plate during not the easiest
of times in Brainfog's history and quickly became the perfect
edition to the Admin team ... a reeeal team player in every
sense 
Adminin' can at times, be an extremely difficult job, often
having to deal with challenging and energy sapping situations.
Walking the fine line and staying upright on it ... whilst
maintaining diplomacy and professionalism at all times,
Wibble has always been 100% countable on in both a lead
or supporting role, often throwing her own odd personal
sense of humour into the mix to help things along nicely
Without doubt, we'll miss her Admining about the place ........
......... but will be joyous on spotting her Moddin' about
instead and getting up to lots of other Brainfog mischief
here n' there
I know that you'll all be behind me in wishing her nothing
but many many good and happy days ahead with all her cunning
projects ... and that future offline time will help her
recovery move rapidly in the right direction

"Well I've decided to take my
life by the scruff of its neck and get myself better sorted
as regards the management of my illness.... I want to oversee
the professional restoration of my lovely Morris Minor van
this year... and that means I'm having to pace like mad
to get myself well enough to do it.... A really good project
to have as a goal which will *make* me inspired to pace
and rest and all that good stuff and basically manage my
illness better so as to be able to make it happen.  Also
there's other stuff on my plate in the "real world",
all good (well mostly good), but all needing attention and
energy.I
feel too that for my personal management of the illness
it's going to be really helpful for me to spend more time
in the real world and less time sitting at the computer.
Basically
this means that with Ally's blessing I've taken the very
hard decision to step down from doing admin on Brainfog
- hard decision because doing admin was great fun and I
learned a lot  I'm
really grateful to Ally and Winniee for being pleased for
me rather than allowing me to indulge my feelings of guilt
and awkwardness for putting a bigger burden on them....
Admin is a very time-consuming and stressful job and they
are heroes *hugs them both loads* I
also want to thank all you foggers for making my time doing
admin such fun, it's been great working with you all. I've
been specially grateful for times when peeps have offered
me appreciation or support - you'd be surprised how much
that means.  As
most of you probably know, I think Brainfog is the dog's
cahoonies, and I'll still be very much around the place,
modding along like a lil' modding dog in the back window
of the Fogbus, and enjoying the madness and the supportive
wisdom of the assembled Great Minds Onwards
and upwards!!! Juliet
