Brainfog snappy snappy fans
.... 
here's where there be all the lowdown on the Photography part of
the Lake District Photography Gathering 2005......
*bops*
Sooooo
basically ... me thinking behind all this is literally the following:-
“oooo there’s quite a few of us foggers who are into
the ol’ snappy snappy ... We should hook up for a long weekend
... take photos ... drink tea ... give feet massage and be merry!”
..... so that is exactly what we are going to be doing.
As you know, we are going to be based in the heart of the Lake District
which cunningly means we will be surrounded by a plethora of b.e.a.utiful
photographic material 
The
Gathering will take place over the weekend of the 6th / 7th / 8th
/ 9th / 10th May 2005 (arriving on the 6th - leaving on the 9th
although you can arrive earlier and leave later if you wish)
We will be based at a Youth Hostel in the Lakes. If you would like
to stay with us at the Youth Hostel then please contact Juliet on
juliet @ brainfog dot org as soon as possible. Juliet has
made arrangements with the Hostel to enable us to be roomed together
so get your booking in now peeeps!
If the Hostelling part of the weekend doesn't appeal to you (although
the Hostels have come a long way in terms of comfort and hygiene
since the old days) ......... you can absolutely find alternative
accommodation elsewhere in the Lakes but this will be down to you
to organise.
Ok so the first couple of reeeeally important things that you need
to know are the following:

To come on this weekend you do not need to be a proficient
photographer. Nor do you need to own a flashy camera!
If the most photosnappin’ you have ever done is of the
family at Christmas but you have an interest in the taking of
photos … then this weekend is most definitely for you!
(and also you more proficient ones wink
 )

To come on this weekend you do not need to be coming to take
part in the phototaking of.
There are Foggers coming who are not into photo-making but who
are just gonna come hang out with us, do their own thing while
we’re snappy snappin’ or just hang around us when
we snappy snappin’ .... then hook up with us when we just
chillin’ and the likey. So if you thought “oooo
I’d like to go to that … but don’t do phototaking
of bit”
...
then hold the phone and e-mail Juliet (e-mail: juliet @
brainfog dot org)
It
is important to remember though that activities will be arranged
only of the phototaking variety ... so if you do
want to come but not take pics then you will have to amuse yourself
(don’t fret though ‘cos there will be a few of you
so it’s more than likely it will all take care of itself
between you and you won’t be left sitting in a tea shop
on your third cup of English tea and fifth scone – although
this we cannot guarantee)
- Nothing
on this weekend is compulsory.
I cannot stress this enough! Say it with me people .... “nothing
on this
weekend
is compulsory”
If you turn
up and decide you want to spend the week touring the priiitty
countryside or even spend it tucked up under your duvet ‘cos
you’re feeling toooo poooo ... then that is all MOOOORE
than cool and the gang with us (although we’ll be sorry
you’re feeling pooo of course and will most likely *squish*
you lots.... gently.... and bring you tea...... you’ll
be begging us to leave you alone! ....  )
Note
to those who can’t make this trip and are bummed ‘cos
they wanted to do the snappy snappy thing – don’t worry
‘cos on any Gathering there will always be a place for cameras
and potential outings ... so you sooooo not missing your one and
only chance
