| Operation:
Sunshine
Due to the nature of the internet it isn’t
wise to disclose the location of our Saturday meet openly on an
open site like this. So, if you are coming to Bognor and will be
around on the Saturday then you can email me
for the details of our secret location.
This message will self destruct in 5….4….3….2….1….*kabooosh*
Things
you will need to bring;
-
Food and drink or money to buy some on the day. I’m not
sure if there will be vendors so a packed lunch is advisable but
a walk to a local café could be an option if you are up
to it.
- Water.
Be sure to bring extra with you as dehydration causes all sorts
of trouble with your health.
-
Something to sit/lie on. If you want to bring a blanket, cushion,
chair etc please do so as we can’t be sure of having a picnic
table or enough space for everyone to sit at one.
-
Sun cream. This is a MUST and we
advise you bring a factor of 15 SPF upwards

-
Hat, sunglasses
,
extra clothing if it becomes too hot and/or a fan. Please be sensible
and prepare, as it is all too easy to under-estimate damage the
sun can do, even in England .GIF)
-
Any medication or inhalers. It is likely that the pollen count
will be high so prepare with inhalers/antihistamines if you require
them

-
Camera!!! Don’t forget it!!!!

-
Any games you would like to bring to entertain!
Of
course this isn’t a definitive list, bring all you feel you
need to bring and extra so you are prepared.
There
will be two people people present will first aid skills, Sandy Petty
(Mother of da Moose) and Judy Abraham aka 3flakeaday (Mother of
the Bognor event organisor aka me). They are both healthy people
and qualified to administer first aid. A fully stocked first aid
kit will be present at both scheduled meets
This is just a request but as some people are sensitive to fragrances
and hairsprays etc so if you could refrain from over use of such
products it would certainly make the weekend more enjoyable for
everyone. That means no beehive hair-dos for the girls and no brut
aftershave dip for the guys.
There
is no planned end to the meet so you can wander off when you feel
it is time to leave, or go for a rest and come back later! The day
is open to suit you and your needs.
Operation: Raincloud
Bognor
Regis boasts the most sunshine hours in the country but, let's face
it, we are still in England so there is always a chance of rain!
If it does rain before 12.30pm on the 3rd July then you will receive
a phone call and we will meet at a pre-planned location. I’m
still researching where that place will be but you will be kept
informed.
If it rains while we are at the park then a decision on where to
go will be made there and then. You will be given numbers to call
if you are unsure as to where you should be but hopefully it will
be clear.
I’m looking for a place where we can buy food and drink so
bring money if you wish to eat in-house
Transportation
There
is NO official transportation to and from the park/indoor eatery,
so you will be responsible for how
you get there and back to your accommodation or anywhere else you
need to be. It is wise to pre-arrange transport rather than ‘blag’
a lift on the day. If you end up with no confirmed transport, or
dependant on someone else, bring extra money for a taxi should you
need to leave urgently or become stranded
Check
this page for a clearer itinerary that is coming soon
