Dom: 18 years, first ill on 1st June 1987


Ally: What valuable lessons have you learnt from your illness and what gifts has it brought to you?

Dom: Life is for living, enjoy everyday and every achievement, no matter how big or small they may be, if being able to walk five steps is the most you can do but you couldn't do it the day before, then it is as bigger achievement as winning the Noble Peace Prize.


Ally: What do you regret most about your illness ?

Dom: Nothing, our experiences make us who we are

Ally: What is the best gift that you’ve ever received?

Dom: A Turnip all of my own

Dom: The need to be part of the creation of something that’ll be around for long after I am, that way part of me shall always live on.

Dom: Eat them, they are a wonderful source of calcium, it helps with making your teeth and nails strong.

Dom: The French countryside or an Island on the Dalmatian coast.

Dom: Nothing, as my experiences make me the person who I am today, and I wouldn’t want to change myself at all

Dom: Jumping out of a plane two miles above the ground, you really get a perspective of things when you are falling towards the Earth at 124 MPH
